Shayla Snaps: No Extra People Here — And Give Me My Key Back, Anthony! You Don’t Live Here No More!πŸ”₯

(Scene picks up right after the paternity test. The air is thick with tension. Amber folds her arms, Shayla looks furious, and Anthony’s trying to keep calm.)

Shayla: (takes a deep breath) Okay. We’re done. You can go now.

Anthony: Shayla, can we not do this in front of Kai?

Shayla: Oh, we’re doing this exactly where it needs to happen. Because apparently, if I don’t say it now, you’ll be back at my door tomorrow acting like this your place.

Amber: (smirks) Mmm-hmm, that part.

Anthony: Amber, please. Shayla, what are you even talking about?

Shayla: (snaps) I’m talking about my key, Anthony. Hand it over.

Anthony: My—what?

Shayla: (steps closer) The key. To my house. Give. It. Back.

Anthony: (blinks) You serious right now?

Shayla: Dead serious. You don’t live here no more. You don’t pay no bills here. You don’t get to walk in like it’s still 2021.

Amber: (folds arms tighter) Exactly. She said what she said.

Anthony: (sighs) Shayla, come on, don’t make this a scene.

Shayla: A scene? Anthony, you made a whole soap opera when you brought your wife to a DNA test for my child.

Amber: (raises eyebrow) Our child? We’ll see about that in five business days.

Shayla: (turns to Amber) You see, this right here is why I’m asking for my key back. Because you think this is your little playdate, but this is my home. My space.

Anthony: (frustrated) Shayla, I just came to handle business—

Shayla: Then handle it and leave. You handled the test, now handle your exit.

Anthony: (holds up his hands) All right, fine. If it makes you feel better, here. (pulls key from pocket)

Shayla: (snatches it) Oh, it doesn’t make me feel better. It makes me free.

Amber: (laughs under her breath) Whew, she’s dramatic.

Shayla: Oh, I can be dramatic all day long, baby. But I ain’t stupid. Ain’t no man with a wife about to have a key to my door.

Anthony: Shayla, stop talking like I’m some stranger—

Shayla: You are a stranger now, Anthony. You made sure of that the day you put her before your son.

Amber: (mock gasp) Excuse me?

Shayla: You heard me. Now take your wife and go.

Anthony: (pauses, looks at Kai) Kai, say bye to Daddy, okay?

Shayla: (kneels next to Kai) Go on, baby.

Kai: (quietly) Bye, Daddy.

Anthony: (softly) Bye, son.

(He walks toward the door. Shayla stands tall, clutching the key like a trophy of independence.)

Amber: (turns at the door) Oh, and Shayla? Don’t worry. I’ll make sure he never needs that key again.

Shayla: (smirks) Oh, I know he won’t. Because the locks are already changed.

(Door closes. Shayla exhales deeply, her eyes watering but her face fierce. The silence says everything — she’s done, for real this time.)
