🚨 Plot Twist : Larry Find's Out Brooke is Not His Biological Daughter 😮
[Scene opens in Larry’s living room. He’s sitting at the kitchen table, a white envelope in his trembling hands. The DNA test results. The rain beats against the window — thunder echoing the storm inside him.]
Larry: (whispering to himself) Nah… this can’t be real. They must’ve mixed something up.
(He takes a deep breath, opens the envelope, and unfolds the paper slowly. His eyes move across the lines. Silence. Then — a gasp. He drops the paper like it burned him.)
Larry: (voice cracking) “Probability of paternity: 0%.” ... Zero? ZERO?!
(Bethany walks in, wiping her hands on a dish towel, confused by his tone.)
Bethany: Larry? What’s going on? You okay?
Larry: (staring at her) You tell me, Bethany. You tell me what the hell this is. (he holds up the paper)
Bethany: (frozen) What is that?
Larry: Don’t act clueless. It’s the DNA test, Beth. The one you said I didn’t need. The one you swore would prove I was Brooke’s father.
Bethany: (nervous laugh) Larry… you didn’t— you didn’t actually send it in, did you?
Larry: Oh, I did. And now I wish to God I hadn’t. ‘Cause what I just read shattered me.
Bethany: (tears forming) Larry, please… it’s not what you think.
Larry: Then tell me what it is! Tell me how for ten damn years I been calling another man’s daughter mine!
Bethany: (sobbing) I didn’t mean for it to happen like this. You were gone so much back then. We were on a break—
Larry: Don’t you dare use that line on me, Bethany! We might’ve been distant, but we were still married! You think “a break” gives you permission to bring another man’s child into my home?!
Bethany: I was scared! I didn’t know who the father was, Larry! You were back and forth, and I didn’t want to lose you—
Larry: So you lied to me instead. You let me hold her when she was born. You let me name her. You watched me pour my heart into that little girl every single day!
Bethany: (crying hard) I know, Larry, I know! But she needed you! And you were such a good father to her. You loved her—
Larry: Don’t do that. Don’t twist this into some noble story. You didn’t give me the choice! You played with my life, Bethany… with her life!
(He sinks into a chair, shaking his head, tears streaming down his face.)
Larry: All this time, I thought Brooke was my miracle. The one thing that made all our pain worth it. And now… I don’t even know who she is.
Bethany: Larry… please. You can still love her. Biology doesn’t change what you two have.
Larry: Maybe not for her… but for me? It changes everything.
(He stands up slowly, grabs his jacket, eyes filled with heartbreak.)
Bethany: Where are you going?
Larry: To find out who her real father is. And to figure out who the hell I’ve been for the last ten years.
(He walks out. The door closes softly. Bethany collapses to the floor, clutching the DNA paper as the rain pours harder — outside and in her heart.
