Brooke LOSES IT After Bethany Says She’ll End Up Pregnant by Isaiah! 😡

[Scene: Brooke’s bedroom — she’s sitting on her bed texting Isaiah, smiling softly. Bethany knocks once and walks in.]

Bethany:
Hey, Brooke. You got a minute?

Brooke:
(looking up, cheerful) Yeah, what’s up?

Bethany:
Your dad just told me you and Isaiah are officially a thing now.

Brooke:
(smiling shyly) Yeah, we are. Why, what’s wrong?

Bethany:
You don’t think that’s gonna be a problem?

Brooke:
(confused) A problem? No. We’ve been good. What are you getting at?

Bethany:
Well, you went from having drama with that whole friend group, lying about parties, sneaking around… and now you’re dating one of them. Doesn’t that seem like déjà vu to you?

Brooke:
Bethany, that’s old stuff. I’m not friends with Hope or those girls anymore. Me and Isaiah are separate from all that.

Bethany:
(sighs) Brooke, guilt by association is real. He’s still friends with them. If they’re messy, he’s in it too — and that’s gonna rub off on you.

Brooke:
(sharply) No, it’s not. He’s not like that anymore, and neither am I.

Bethany:
I’m just saying, I don’t want you to end up with a baby by Isaiah, trying to raise little Isaiahs before you even graduate.

Brooke:
(eyes widen) Wait, what?!

Bethany:
You heard me. I’m serious. I don’t want you to go down that road.

Brooke:
(gets up, voice rising) Bethany, that is so disrespectful! Don’t come in here acting like I’m one of these fast girls out here. Me and Isaiah just started dating. We’re not even— (cuts herself off) You’re out of line!

Bethany:
It’s not disrespectful, Brooke, it’s concern. I’ve seen how these things go. I love you, and I don’t want you hurt or stuck too young.

Brooke:
No, you’re projecting your issues on me! Just because you made mistakes doesn’t mean I will. I’m not you, Bethany!

Bethany:
(defensive) Excuse me? I’m not projecting anything. I’m protecting you.

Brooke:
Protecting me by insulting me? By saying I’ll end up pregnant? That’s not love — that’s judgment!

Bethany:
(sighs) Brooke, I’m sorry if it came out wrong, but I’ve seen girls lose their focus and—

Brooke:
(interrupting) You’re still doing it! Talking like I’m on the edge of some disaster. I’ve got plans, I’ve got goals. You think I’m dumb?

Bethany:
No, I think you’re naïve when it comes to love.

Brooke:
(angrily) Wow. You really think that little of me? You came in here assuming the worst instead of just trusting me.

Bethany:
Because I care! You think I’d waste my breath if I didn’t?

Brooke:
You could’ve cared in a better way — maybe started with a little respect.

Bethany:
(shakes her head) You’ll understand one day.

Brooke:
Yeah, maybe when I’m your age and trying to run somebody else’s life.

[The door opens — her dad steps in, confused.]

Dad:
What in the world is going on now?

Brooke:
(snarling) She just told me I’m gonna end up pregnant by Isaiah!

Dad:
(eyes widen) Bethany, seriously?

Bethany:
(sighs, hands up) I didn’t mean it like that…

Brooke:
(firmly) Doesn’t matter. You said it. And I’m not her little project.

[Brooke storms out, slamming the door, leaving Bethany standing there in silence as her dad shakes his head.]

[Scene fades.]
