Amber’s Smile Fades Fast, When Anthony Says, If I Can Forgive You, I Can Forgive Anybody! ๐ณ
[Scene opens on a peaceful evening outside the house. Amber and Anthony sit together on the porch, soft breeze, romantic energy in the air.]
Amber: (smiling, holding her tea) Mmm… this weather feels perfect. I swear, ever since we moved here, I’ve been sleeping better.
Anthony: Yeah, it’s peaceful out here. Ain’t no noise, no drama… just air, trees, and you lookin’ fine next to me.
Amber: (giggles) Oh, you smooth tonight, huh? That chain got you feelin’ extra confident.
Anthony: (grinning, touching it) You like this? This my new prized possession… well, besides you, of course.
Amber: (smiling wide) You’re so sweet.
Anthony: (leans back) I try.
Amber: You know, I just wanna say—I’m proud of you.
Anthony: (curious) Proud of me? For what?
Amber: Just how maturely you’ve been handling everything. I know that whole situation with Dalen was rough, but… the way you kept your composure? The way you protected me? Baby, you made me feel like a queen.
Anthony: (soft laugh) The reason you felt like a queen is ‘cause that’s what you are.
Amber: (touches his hand) See, that right there… that’s why I love you.
Anthony: (nods slowly, tone shifting) Yeah, and part of being a king… is protectin’ his queen from anything that tries to harm her.
Amber: (smiling, emotional) You always do, Anthony. You always do.
Anthony: (pauses, eyes narrowing slightly) And part of a queen’s job… is to know her king’s heart.
Amber: (slightly confused) Okay…?
Anthony: So, I gotta ask you something. You think you can really forgive Dalen?
Amber: (caught off guard) Anthony, I thought we were past—
Anthony: (interrupting) Nah, I’m just saying… I don’t care who it was. I just don’t ever wanna see another man touchin’ or kissin’ what’s mine.
Amber: (nervous chuckle) You know that won’t happen again. We both made mistakes, but we moved on.
Anthony: (nods) Yeah… yeah, we did. And honestly, I’m proud of you too.
Amber: (smiling again) You are?
Anthony: (leans in closer, tone serious) Yeah. ‘Cause forgiving each other—me forgiving you, you forgiving me—it made me realize somethin’.
Amber: (softly) What’s that, baby?
Anthony: (with a grin) If I can forgive you, I can forgive anybody.
Amber: (smile drops instantly, blinking) …Wait, what?
Anthony: (keeps going) I mean, for real! What we been through? Whew. You leveled up my patience, my grace, my everything. You tested me like no other.
Amber: (staring, trying to keep composure) …That’s supposed to be a compliment?
Anthony: (laughs) Yeah! You made me stronger. Like, I’m bulletproof now. You was the final exam, baby. After you, ain’t nothin’ I can’t forgive.
Amber: (tight smile, jaw clenching) Wow. I didn’t realize my pain and your “forgiveness” were part of your spiritual boot camp, Anthony.
Anthony: (chuckling) Ayy, I’m just sayin’—God used you to build me up.
Amber: (snapping slightly) Well, next time, tell God to find another student. I’m retired.
Anthony: (laughing nervously) Baby, don’t be like that—
Amber: (standing up, walking off) Nah, you good. You bulletproof, remember? Let’s see if that armor helps when I stop talkin’ to you for a week.
Anthony: (calling out) Amber, c’mon now! You takin’ that the wrong way!
Amber: (over her shoulder) Nope. I took it exactly how you said it.
[Anthony sighs, rubs his forehead as she disappears inside. He mutters to himself.]
Anthony: Man… women so sensitive. I was givin’ her a compliment.
[Camera pans to the house door slamming shut. End scene.]
