Amber Snaps Back: You Want Me to Leave So You Can Play House with Shayla🔥

[Scene opens in the living room. Amber walks in, dropping her purse on the couch. Anthony stands by the door, arms crossed, tension thick in the air.]

Anthony:
Hey, wife.

Amber (without looking at him):
Hey.

Anthony:
You coming in kind of late tonight.

Amber:
Yeah, well, I had to go check on some things at the club. You know, grown-woman business.

Anthony (half-smirking):
Anybody try to talk to my wife at the club?

Amber (rolls eyes):
Anthony, don’t start with that. Not tonight. I’m tired.

Anthony (takes a deep breath):
Amber… just leave me.

Amber (turns sharply):
What? What did you just say?

Anthony:
Just leave me. For real. I done put you through too much. It’d probably be easier for you to walk away, find your happiness somewhere else.

Amber (laughs bitterly):
Oh, you think that’s the answer? You think you can just decide when I’m done?

Anthony (avoids eye contact):
I’m just saying… maybe it’s time.

Amber (steps closer, her voice rising):
No, Anthony. What you’re saying is selfish. You’re trying to control how this ends, just like you try to control everything else. You think you get to decide when I’m tired, when I’m angry, when I should give up. But I’m sick of people telling Amber how to feel!

Anthony (softly):
I ain’t trying to control you, Amber. I’m trying to protect you from me.

Amber:
Protect me? Protect me? Boy, please. That’s just another excuse for you to run away. You don’t protect — you retreat. Every time something gets hard, you fold up like a scared little boy.

Anthony (raises his voice slightly):
You don’t understand what I’m fighting inside!

Amber:
Oh, I understand perfectly. You’re fighting responsibility. You’re fighting guilt. You’re fighting the truth that you messed up and now you want out so you can play house with Shayla and Kai.

Anthony (snaps):
Don’t bring Shayla into this!

Amber (fierce):
Oh, I will bring her up! Because that’s what this is about, right? You think if I walk away, you can go live your little fairytale with her. But let me tell you something, Anthony — you might get peace for a minute, but you’ll lose your soul doing it.

Anthony (looks away, silent):
…You done?

Amber (steps closer, finger pointed):
No, I’m just getting started. I’ve invested too much in this marriage for you to stand here and tell me to “just leave.” You think that’s easy? You think walking away from love, from years, from pain — that’s easy? No, that’s your way out. The coward’s way.

Anthony (quietly):
So what you want me to do then?

Amber:
I want you to grow up. I want you to stop trying to run from every fire you start. You want me gone? Then you leave. Because I’m not giving up on something I built with my whole heart — not for Shayla, not for your guilt, not for anything.

Anthony (sighs deeply):
Amber… I never meant to hurt you.

Amber (teary-eyed but strong):
Yeah, but you did. And now you want to hurt me again by pretending it’s noble to push me away. But listen to me — I may submit to you as your wife, but you don’t control me. Not my feelings, not my future. You got that?

Anthony (looks down):
Yeah… I got it.

Amber (firmly):
Good. Because next time you feel like running, look in the mirror and realize you’re the problem, not me.

[Amber grabs her purse and walks off, leaving Anthony standing there in silence — ashamed, conflicted, and alone.]
