Amber Explodes: My Husband, My Friends—All Betrayed Me… And You Call This the Best?!😮
[Scene opens in Anthony and Amber’s living room. Amber has just walked in after her meeting with Wayne, looking furious and hurt. Anthony notices immediately.]
Anthony:
What’s wrong, baby? You look like you’re about to break something.
Amber:
Break something? Anthony, I just left Wayne’s. We had a meeting with him, Alvara, and Shayla. He asked us if we wanted to work together, and Shayla said no. I said hell no. And you know what he did? He FIRED us. Ended the business right then and there.
Anthony:
Wait, hold up. Wayne just shut it down like that?
Amber:
Yes! Just like that. And I’m sitting there thinking, is this a prank? Am I being punked? Because it feels like life is playing some cruel joke on me. First my husband betrays me, then Shayla steals him and has a baby, now she slides in and destroys my business. Anthony, I am SICK of her taking everything from me.
Anthony:
Baby, I know you’re hurt, but listen—maybe it’s for the best.
Amber (snapping):
For the best? For the best?! Tell me, Anthony, how is it the best that my husband betrayed me, my friend betrayed me, and now Wayne—another friend—betrayed me too? That’s supposed to be the best? What’s best for Amber? Because right now this feels like the WORST.
Anthony (softly):
I get it. I know it feels like the worst. But sometimes when God closes a door—
Amber (cutting him off):
Don’t say it, Anthony. Don’t tell me about doors closing and windows opening. Because all I see is Shayla walking through every single door that should’ve been mine. And I’m left standing outside in the cold.
Anthony (firm but calm):
No one can take what belongs to you. Only God decides that. And if this wasn’t meant for you, then He’s preparing something bigger. You trust Him, right?
Amber (breaking down, tears in her voice):
Of course I do. But it doesn’t stop the hurt. It doesn’t stop me from feeling like everything I built, everything I loved, got ripped away. Anthony, I’m trying not to hate her, but it’s hard. So hard.
Anthony (pulling her close):
I know, baby. I know. But don’t let her win by holding that bitterness. You’re stronger than this. And if Wayne’s chapter closed, maybe it’s time for you to start your own label. Your OWN empire. Nobody can take that from you.
Amber (sniffling, softening):
You really think I can start over? Build something that’s mine, without them?
Anthony (smiling, reassuring):
I don’t just think it—I know it. And I’ll be right by your side while you do it. This ain’t the end, baby. It’s just the beginning.
[Amber leans into Anthony, torn between anger and hope, as the scene fades.]
