Shayla BLUSHES Getting Flowers… Until She Realizes They Ain’t from Anthony 😮

[Scene: Shayla’s living room. She’s sitting with her friend Delisia when a knock comes at the door. A delivery guy leaves flowers. Shayla looks surprised.]

Delisia: (teasing) Oooh girl, somebody loves you! Look at that bouquet. Go on, open it!

Shayla: (smiling, blushing) Lord have mercy… Anthony finally tryna act right? See, I knew he couldn’t stay mad forever.

Delisia: (laughs) Baby, if that man finally sent flowers, the world must be ending. Go ahead, check that card.

Shayla: (excited, opens the card, then frowns) Hold up. Wait a minute.

Delisia: What’s it say? Don’t play with me—read it out loud!

Shayla: (reading slowly) “When you find the one, that’s who you celebrate. Even if you don’t have her yet… I don’t have you in the flesh, but I know in my spirit you’re the one. Yours truly.”

Delisia: (mouth wide open) Ohhhh! Girl, that ain’t Anthony!

Shayla: (blushing, then rolling her eyes) Don’t have me yet? Baby, Anthony BEEN had me. This ain’t from him. Who out here writing love letters like they in a Tyler Perry movie?

Delisia: (laughing hard) Not the Tyler Perry shade! But listen… that’s kind of sweet. Somebody out there really feeling you.

Shayla: (shaking her head) Sweet? Delisia, these flowers barely fill the vase. Anthony a millionaire—if he wanted to impress me, he’d send roses covering the whole house. Not no little Dollar Store bouquet.

Delisia: (serious now) And look where that “millionaire energy” has gotten you—arguing in front of your mama’s house, baby mama drama every other week. Maybe it’s time you pay attention to the man who’s actually showing you something different.

Shayla: (sighs, staring at flowers) I mean… it’s nice. But it’s embarrassing too. I expected Anthony. I wanted Anthony. Not some mystery man hiding in the shadows.

Delisia: Girl, you always say you want peace. But when peace comes knocking—with flowers—you don’t even recognize it.

Shayla: (quiet, conflicted) Maybe you right. Maybe. But you know Anthony—if he finds out another man sending me flowers? Whew… World War Three.

Delisia: (grinning) And you already know Amber gonna be somewhere in the background with her popcorn, enjoying the whole show.

Shayla: (laughs, then suddenly serious) No, but for real… who could’ve sent this? Arby? Wayne? Somebody new?

Delisia: (leans in) Whoever it is, baby, one thing’s for sure—Shayla got a secret admirer, and Anthony bout to lose his mind when he finds out.

[They both look at the flowers in silence. Shayla picks them up, torn between flattery and frustration.]
