Over My Dead Body! Shayla Explodes at Anthony’s Demand to Bring Kai Around Amber ๐Ÿ˜ก

Shayla: (pacing the living room) Zachary, you will not believe what Anthony had the nerve to ask me today.

Zashery: (sits up) Oh boy, what now?

Shayla: He actually asked me if Kai could spend time around Amber sometimes. Can you imagine that?

Zashery: (blinks in shock) Wait—he asked you that? Like, for real?

Shayla: For real! And I was standing there thinking, what kind of sick joke is this? It took everything in me not to snap. I’m trying to grow, I’m trying to be better, but that man makes me want to put my hands on him every single day.

Zashery: (sighs) Sis, you know Anthony. He’s back with Amber. That’s his wife, whether you like it or not. Eventually, he’s going to bring Kai around her.

Shayla: (slams hand on the table) Over my dead body, Zachary! That woman has stormed into my house, ambushed me and Kai, acted like she owns everything. She’s endangered my child more than once. Do you understand? She does not care about Kai. I will never trust her around my baby.

Zashery: But Shayla, think about it—Amber’s not going to hurt Kai. Why would she? Anthony wouldn’t even allow that. He’s Kai’s father.

Shayla: (glares) You really think Amber wouldn’t hurt him? Please. She’s jealous, she’s bitter, and she’s petty enough to act out just because Kai exists. You can’t tell me a woman who hates me that much would suddenly turn motherly toward my child.

Zashery: (leans forward) Sis, you’re letting your feelings about Anthony and Amber cloud this. You’re stuck in the anger. You need to face reality—Anthony is back with her, and Kai will be around her sooner or later.

Shayla: (shakes head violently) No. No, no, no. That’s easy for you to say because you don’t have children. You don’t know what it feels like to protect a child with everything in your soul. You don’t go to bed at night wondering if someone jealous of your child might hurt them when you’re not there.

Zashery: (softens voice) Shayla, don’t forget, Kai is my nephew. I love him. I would never want anything to happen to him. But I honestly don’t think Amber would hurt him.

Shayla: (points finger at Zashery) Love as a nephew is not the same as a mother’s protection. You’ll never understand what it’s like to carry that weight. I don’t care how much Anthony wants to play “happy family” with Amber again—my son is not part of that picture.

Zashery: (shakes head) I think you’re refusing to move on. The more you hold onto this, the more you let Anthony control your emotions.

Shayla: (tears welling up) Move on? My son is only a child, Zachary. He’s too young, too innocent. I cannot gamble his safety on Anthony’s bad choices. Maybe one day you’ll understand when you’re a parent. But until then, Kai will never be around Amber.
