Birthday Blow-Up: Anthony Explodes on Shayla for Saying She Planned Kai’s Party Alone! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Anthony: (whispering but with fire in his eyes) What the hell was that about, Shayla? “Doing it alone”? Seriously?

Shayla: (sighs, holding her composure) Anthony, I did set up this entire party by myself. All you did was hand me some cash.

Anthony: (scoffs loudly) Some cash? That’s what you call it?

Shayla: (narrowing her eyes) Yes.

Anthony: (steps closer) Okay then, since you’re counting—how much did you actually contribute, huh? Did you pull fifteen grand out your pocket?

Shayla: (crosses her arms) I contributed my time, my energy, my sleepless nights making sure every detail was perfect for our son.

Anthony: (voice rising) Without my money, you wouldn’t have been able to do any of this. No cowboy theme, no cupcakes, no damn bouncy house. Don’t play me, Shayla.

Shayla: (sharp, but keeping her voice low) Don’t make this day about you, Anthony. It’s about Kai.

Anthony: (laughs bitterly) No—you don’t make it about you. Last time I checked, Kai has a father too. You didn’t have him by yourself.

Shayla: (eyes flicker with hurt) Feels like it most days.

Anthony: (snaps) Excuse me?

Shayla: You show up with your wallet, Anthony, but where are you when Kai wakes up at 2 a.m.? Where are you when he’s sick, when I’m drowning, when I’m begging for help? Money doesn’t tuck him in.

Anthony: (defensive) Don’t act like I’m not sacrificing! I bust my ass to make sure you and Kai don’t want for anything. You think money grows on trees?

Shayla: (tears brimming but firm) I never asked you to buy love. I asked you to show up. That’s all.

Anthony: (glares, lowering his voice) And don’t you dare stand in front of my family and friends, in front of everybody, and act like I’m useless.

Shayla: (whispering, with venom) Then stop giving me reasons to feel like I’m doing this alone.

(A few guests glance over, sensing tension. The music suddenly feels too loud, kids still laughing but adults whispering.)

Anthony: (leans in close, jaw tight) Without me, this party wouldn’t even exist. Don’t disrespect me.

Shayla: (straightens up, unshaken) Without me, Kai wouldn’t feel the love behind it. Don’t forget that, Anthony.

Anthony: (pauses, chest heaving, then forces a smile as a guest walks past) We’ll finish this later.

Shayla: (cold, wiping her eyes before anyone notices) Oh, believe me—we will.

(The tension lingers heavy in the air as they both plaster fake smiles, pretending for the sake of the party, but the damage is already done.)
