Amber Drops Bomb on Anthony: Wayne’s New Song EXPOSES Their Past! πŸ’”

[Scene opens in Amber’s living room. Anthony walks in, wiping sweat from his forehead.]

Anthony: [fanning himself] Whew… it’s hot out there.

Amber: Hey, man.

Anthony: Hey.

Amber: Oh, it is hot out there, I’m telling you.

Anthony: Yeah, it is. Definitely hot. I was out earlier today—had to run a couple errands.

Amber: Yeah? Well, I was out there too… with Wayne.

Anthony: [pauses, curious] Oh, really?

Amber: Yeah. He stopped by to let me hear a song he recorded… you know, the night I left.

Anthony: [nodding] Okay. How’d it come out?

Amber: It’s good. Really good, actually. But… I think I want you to hear it yourself.

Anthony: All right.

Amber: Before you do though… Wayne’s being Wayne. He made it about our situation.

Anthony: [blinks] Our situation?

Amber: Yeah. The lyrics… they’re basically about me and you.

Anthony: [leans back] Okay…

Amber: And before it gets released—they’re thinking about making it a single—I just felt you should hear it first.

Anthony: Fair enough. Play it.

Amber: All right… here’s a snippet.

[Amber plays the track. Soft R&B music fills the room. Wayne’s voice comes through.]

Wayne’s Song: ♪ Break your heart… if I had known he’d play with you, I would’ve kept a hold of your heart… but it’s good to see you smile again… ♪

[Amber pauses the track.]

Amber: Okay… that was just a little sample. What do you think?

Anthony: Well… the beat’s fire.

Amber: [smirks] Come on, Anthony.

Anthony: That boy can sing, no doubt. But… without the context, I’d say it’s a good song. Something a lot of women might relate to.

Amber: But more importantly—what do you feel? I want to make sure you’re okay with it. If you’re not, I’ll tell them to drop it and do something else. No big deal.

Anthony: Amber, come on. We’re past this, right? We’re trying to move forward.

Amber: I know. I just… feel like Wayne could’ve at least talked to you first. Man-to-man.

Anthony: Yeah, he could have. But this is business, right?

Amber: That’s why I’m coming to you.

Anthony: And I appreciate that. I do. But still—Wayne could’ve been a man and told me straight up, “I’m putting this out.” But hey, it’s art. Interpretive.

Amber: [softly] You sure?

Anthony: I’m sure.

Amber: All right.

Anthony: Cool song though.

Amber: [half-smiling] Yeah.

Anthony: [under his breath] Damn… thorn in my side.

[They share a tense silence. The air feels heavy—half business, half personal history lingering between them.]
