You Heard My Husband There’s No Room for You or That Baby in His Heart! Amber ENDS It All for Shayla!
[Scene: Outside Amber’s house. Shayla stands on the porch, tears in her eyes. Anthony and Amber are just inside the doorway.]
Shayla:
Anthony… I know you still love me. I know you do. Please don’t let her stand between us again.
Anthony (firmly):
Shayla, I’ve made myself clear. I’m with my wife.
Shayla (pleading):
But you said you were confused! You said you needed time! We have a child, Anthony! You can’t just pretend that doesn’t exist!
Amber (coldly):
You should’ve thought about that before you slept with a married man.
Shayla (snaps):
He wasn’t acting married when he was with me. Don’t act like you’ve always been some perfect wife.
Amber (stepping out):
Perfect? No. But I’m the wife he came home to. I’m the woman he chose. And you? You were a distraction. Temporary.
Shayla (tears welling):
You’re lying to yourself if you think he doesn’t still love me.
Anthony (calm but serious):
Shayla... I’m done lying. Not to you, not to myself. I love Amber. That’s it.
Shayla (shaking her head):
You love me too. You just don’t want to admit it. Because she makes you feel guilty.
Amber (voice sharp):
No, Shayla. He doesn’t love you. He pities you. And there’s a big difference.
Shayla (angrily):
He’s the father of my child! You don’t get to erase that!
Amber (with finality):
You heard my husband. There’s no room for you... or that baby... in his heart.
Shayla (choking on her own breath):
How can you say that? That’s his son!
Anthony (firm):
Shayla, I’ll be responsible. I’ll support my child. But you and I? We’re over. I don’t feel the same. I’m sorry.
Shayla (voice rising):
So that’s it? You’re just going to stand there and let her talk like that? Like our child doesn’t matter?!
Amber:
Don’t twist this. The baby matters. You just thought having his child would secure him. But it didn’t. And it never will.
Shayla (crying):
You don’t understand! I gave up everything for him!
Amber (cold stare):
And he gave everything back to me.
Shayla:
Anthony, say something! Please, don’t let it end like this.
Anthony:
It already ended, Shayla. The moment I walked back into this house... I knew where I belonged.
Amber (calmly):
You need to leave now. Before this gets uglier.
Shayla (softly):
You’ll regret this. One day, you’ll realize what you threw away.
Amber:
No, sweetie. You’re the one who lost. Now... get off my porch.
[Shayla looks at Anthony one last time, eyes full of pain, then turns and walks away slowly.]
[Amber closes the door quietly as Anthony exhales, torn but resolute.]
[Fade out.]
