You Heard Me, Shayla - Go Find Your Baby Daddy! - Amber Snaps and Ends the Conversation! πŸ”₯

[Scene: Amber’s front porch, mid-afternoon. Shayla pulls up, arms folded, eyes sharp. She walks right up to Amber’s doorstep. Amber’s standing there, sipping iced tea, unbothered. The air is thick with tension.]

Shayla:
I just got one question, Amber.
You and Anthony… y’all back messin’ around again?

Amber (without blinking):
You drove all the way over here to ask me that?

Shayla:
I need to hear it straight. He been acting different. Secretive. And I know when he’s hiding something.

Amber:
Maybe he’s hiding from you. Ever thought about that?

Shayla: (steps closer)
Don’t play with me. I know y’all history. I ain’t stupid.

Amber: (sets her glass down slowly)
You know what’s stupid? Coming on my porch, questioning me about a man who don’t even claim your child.

Shayla:
Watch your mouth.

Amber:
Oh, I am. And I’m watching you act real desperate right now.

Shayla: (voice rising)
I’m trying to keep it respectful, Amber, but if y’all back sneaking around—

Amber: (cutting her off)
Girl, respect left when you started lying about that baby. Now you wanna pull up here like you some wife? Baby, sit down.

Shayla:
You think I’m scared of you?

Amber: (takes one step forward)
No, I think you scared of the truth. Scared that Anthony still love me. Scared that when he look at you, he don’t see forever — he sees regret.

Shayla: (quiet for a second, then angry)
I gave that man everything! And you just came back—

Amber: (exploding)
You heard me, Shayla — go find your baby daddy!
'Cause it damn sure ain’t Anthony!

[The street goes silent. A neighbor across the way looks over. Shayla’s mouth opens, then shuts. She’s frozen.]

Amber:
You walking around claiming a man who ain’t claimed you. You mad at me when you should be mad at the lie you told yourself.

Shayla: (softly)
I ain’t lying to myself...

Amber: (calm now, voice cold)
Yes, you are. And you know what hurts the most? You came here looking for answers — but deep down, you already had ‘em. You just didn’t want to accept that he left you... emotionally, mentally, and now physically.

[Shayla slowly steps back off the porch. Her eyes glisten, but she forces herself not to cry.]

Amber: (picking up her glass again)
Next time, don’t come for me unless you ready for the truth.
Now go.
Before I say something your pride can’t recover from.

[Shayla turns around, gets back in her car. No words. Just silence and shame. Amber watches her go, calm, powerful, and unmoved.]
