You Betrayed Blood! - Bethany Gets Kicked Off the Family Land After What She Did to Greg! π±
[Scene: Late afternoon on the family porch. Tension is thick in the humid summer air. Bethany stands defiantly in front of her father, Earl, while Greg leans against the post, arms crossed, bruised but silent. Bethany's mother, Lorna, watches from the steps, wiping tears. Other family members stand nearby, whispering.]
Earl (angrily):
Bethany... I never thought I’d say this to my own daughter. But after what you pulled on Greg? You’re done here. You betrayed blood!
Bethany (defensive):
I didn’t betray anyone! Greg had it coming. He should’ve never—
Greg (cutting in):
Should’ve never what, Beth? Trusted you? Let you handle the family accounts? You drained ten grand from Granny’s medical fund! You think that’s justified?
Bethany (snapping):
I borrowed it! I was gonna put it back once my deal came through. You all act like I’m some criminal!
Lorna (softly, with disappointment):
You lied to all of us. You looked your brother in the eye, smiled at dinner... all while stealing behind our backs. This ain't how we raised you.
Earl (firmly):
It’s not just the money. It’s the betrayal. We stood by you when everyone else counted you out. And this is how you repay us?
Bethany (pleading):
I didn’t mean for it to go this far. I was desperate. The loan sharks were calling every night. I didn’t know where to turn.
Greg (shaking his head):
You could’ve turned to me, Beth. I would've helped you. We’ve been through everything together, and you still chose to stab me in the back.
Bethany (tearfully):
I didn’t want you to know I was failing. I was scared...
Earl (cutting her off, voice like thunder):
You should’ve been scared the second you touched a cent from Granny’s fund. Pack your bags. You’re off this land by sundown.
Bethany (voice breaking):
Daddy, please... don’t do this. This is my home too!
Lorna (standing slowly):
It was your home. But trust is what holds this family together. And right now, that’s broken beyond repair.
Greg (quietly):
I still love you, sis. But love don’t make you immune to consequences.
Bethany (sobbing):
So that’s it? I’m just... out?
Earl (turning away):
You walked off this land the day you betrayed this family. Now the rest is just formal.
[Bethany drops to her knees, the weight of her choices crashing down. The rest of the family watches in silence as she weeps, knowing that forgiveness may come one day—but not today.]
